This thesis describes the synthetic efforts towards marine-derived alkaloid pseudocerosine (36). Isolated as a deep blue pigment from the marine flatworm Pseudoceros indicus, this natural product was reported to contain a unique heteroaromatic scaffold comprising an azafulvene-embedded azepinoindole and an acetamidyl aminal moiety.....
