dc:description.abstractIn contemporary Homeric Studies, in any discussion around the Iliad and the Odyssey, the figures of two scholars, Milman Parry and A.B. Lord . are, at least in the English-speaking world, dominant. It has been t heir findings which have recently opened up new avenues in our appreciation of these two fine examples of the early epic.
