The program of the performance is included as Appendix I. The manuscript focuses on the technical challenges of performing each work as well as the pedagogical value of the pieces. In determining pedagogical value, comparisons are made between excerpts of the recital repertoire and well-known etudes and exercises that test similar areas of trombone performance technique.
