본 연구는 Deci와 Ryan(1985, 2000)의 자기결정성 이론이 고혈압 전단계 노인의 건강행위유지를 설명하고 예측할 수 있는지 가설적 모형을 검증하고, 이론검증 결과를 토대로 동기강화 프로그램을 개발하여 그 효과를 파악하고자 시도하였다
