It was carried out with 228 male and female patients over the age of 19 from six dental hospitals and clinics located in Gyeonggi-do, survey was conducted with the scales of socio-demographic characteristics, implant-related characteristics, self-perceived dental treatment, self-perceived oral health, oral care self-efficacy, oral hygiene behavior and self-perceived oral symptoms. Data analysis was conducted using IBM SPSS version 23.0. To grasp the relations among self-perceived oral health and associated factors, for socio-demographic characteristics, implant-related characteristics and self-perceived dental treatment, differences in self-perceived oral health and their mean were compared. For age (socio-demographic characteristic), oral care self-efficacy, oral hygiene behavior and self-perceived oral symptoms, their correlations were analyzed. The result of analysis showed that factors associated with self-perceived oral health are age, education, occupational status, cause of tooth extraction, number of possessed implants, oral health education experiences, oral care self-efficacy, oral hygiene behavior and self-perceived oral symptoms. Finally, to verify the predictors of self-perceived oral health, multiple regression analysis was conducted with independent variable which proved significant relations with self-perceived oral health. This revealed that the predictors are occupational status, oral health education experiences, self-perceived dental treatment, oral care self-efficiency, oral hygiene behavior, and self-perceived oral symptoms. Therefore, it is considered to develop individual tailored training system and specialized improvement program for oral health based on standardized evaluation and defined predictors and needed to preventively and inclusively manage and evaluate for oral health of implant patients. It contribute to improve not only for the implant patients but also to obtain better and qualified life about oral health.
