Abstract
dc:descriptionHolographic bracelets are sold as a method to increase an Athlete’s performance in balance. The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of the holographic bracelet on an Athlete’s balance. Ten male high school baseball players performed modified Star Excursion Balance Test. The test measured maximal reach distance in anterior, posteromedial, posterolateral directions. The first trial was a control trial and other trials were performed with either the holographic bracelet or the placebo bracelet. The order of trials was assigned randomly. There were no significant differences among trials for normalized reach distances in all directions. It was concluded that holographic bracelets have no effect on an Athlete’s balance.
