Factors influencing intention for Human Papillomavirus vaccination among mothers with female adolescent

This research was a descriptive study to identify mothers' intention of Human Papillomavirus vaccination(HPV) with adolescent daughters and to analyse influencing factors. This study aimed to provide a basis for developing HPV vaccination programs for increasing HPV vaccine coverage and to reduce th risk of HPV infection and cervical cnacer in female. The participants in this study were 205 mothers whose daughters are six of elementary school, middle school and high school students in Seoul city and Keung-Gi province. Two instruments were used in this study. In order to assess the level of knowledge about cervical cancer, HPV, HPV vaccination, the author used the knowledge tool of cervical cancer developed by Lee & Park(2011). To measure the level of health beliefs about HPV vaccination, the author modified and used a questionnaire about Health beliefs related to HPV vaccination of Lee & Park(2011) and Reynold & O'Connell(2012).
