In this dissertation a model for analysing and designing field data distribution processes is develop. This model based on two pillars. The first pillar is the field data value stream design, a methodical way of field data value stream visualisation. The second pillar is the failure card. The failure cards are the analytical element of a systematic improvement of the field data value stream. Furthermore an interface matrix was developed.
