The extent of tooth-reduction was measured macroscopically before and after preparation. The thickness of enamel and dentin, the reduction of enamel and the perforation of dentin were specified histologically, and evaluated by photographed pictures. The results of the examination show that the palatinal and labial tooth-reduction is less than the demanded 0,7 mm, but regarding the 211 histological slices 9% of the labial side and 58% of the palatinal side slices showed dentin-perforations, caused by reduced thickness of enamel. The adhesion of the ceramical restauration at this opened dentin parts is not warranted in the way like at an intact enamal surface.
