With modern technical aids the quality and performance characteristics can be precisely determined for railroad lines, stations and route nodes. This publication deals with a concept for a new analytical software system and takes into account the newest scientific achievements and the current state of computing techniques. The presented concept is based on the Queuing theory of operations research and used for the quantification of scheduled waiting time and dispatching delays within the railway network. Network is partitioned into investigation areas section route nodes and total route nodes.
