Oxirane comonomers used were ethylene oxide, propylene oxide, alkylglycidyl ethers, alkyl 3,4-epoxybutanoate and glycidyl acetate. Copolymers with different ranges of composition and different microstruktures were synthesized. The thermal degradation of the resulting copolymers is investigated by means of thermogravimetric experiments. Kinetic parameters of the degradation reactions were evaluated from nonisothermal experiments and semiempiric and ab initio calculations. The target of this investigations is to synthesize copolymers with a low depolymerization temperature.
