Before and after, plaque accomodation, probing depth and bleeding on probing were scored, saliva streptococci and saliva lactobacilli were measured by selective culturing, crevicular fluid prevotellae were measured by dioxigenin- marked specific DNA-sonds against 16s-rRNA in dot-blotting procedure. Plaque accomodation showed non-significant decrease of 12.4%, probing depth showed non-significant decrease of 0.25mm, bleeding on probing showed significant decrease of 35%. Prevotella showed significant decrease.
