The examination was carried out as a randomized, placebo-controlled, clinical double-blind study including 34 patients. Plaque accomodation showed a non-significant increase of 10.3%, bleeding on probing showed a significant decrease of 35%, probing depth showed a significant decrease of 0.48mm.
