In this work a satisfactory release and a good development of the effects of the drugs was detected at endothelial cells of human umbilical vein. The sterilisation of the foils by gamma-rays shows no influence to the potency of the substances. In the direct contact the settlement of the endothelial cells on the samples was insufficient This is mainly caused by the inhomogeneous, porous structure of the material. The scanning electron microscopy shows inhomogenity which has to be compensated by optimazing the method of production. The attempt of direct inhibition of the smooth muscle is thus more promising.
