Multimethodische Arbeitsumgebung für die Produktentwicklung

Abstract

dc:description

Because of the increasing pressure to shorten development cycles, to lower development costs and to improve the product's quality there were proposed several product development and design methodologies in the past. In practice it became clear that each methodology is suitable for a certain situation but not for the whole process. The simultaneous use of different methodologies leads to recreating data again and again what causes a lack of cycle time, poor quality and for this reason loss of money. To overcome these shortcomings a multi-methodological working environment will be developed in this thesis which unifies different methodologies in one frame model, so that it will be possible to use methods of different methodologies in a flexible manner. For this purpose the two philosophies describing technique "Systems Theory" and "Dialectics" are the basis of a generic frame model for all phases of the product development process. The frame model, in turn, is the basis of the product model, which consists of three partial models, "product data", "organisation" and "process". The product data model describes the characteristics of the product, the organisation model describes the company. The process model forms a meta-methodology of product development and is based on Systematic Engineering Design (SED), Theory of Inventive Problem Solving (TRIZ/TIPS), Quality Function Deployment (QFD), Axiomatic Design (AD) and Value Analysis (VA). The meta-methodology integrates all mentioned development methodologies. Therewith it is possible to use the most suitable method at any time of the development process by changing the used methodology.
