Pain has five components, the sensoric, the affective, the vegetative, the motoric and the cognitive (Larbig 1983). The processing of pain is exhibited by the psychomotoric component of pain and this component can be objectivated for the first time with in this work described combination of methods. With the signals of respiration and the fluctuations of blood flow in the skin, some parameters of the psychomotoric component of pain can be detected, which are the common final path of reception, transmission and processing algetic signals. The aim of this work was analysing neurophysiological phase jumps at acute pain. Thereby not only the analysis of the states occuring before and after pain is of importance, but the phase jump itself. With the classical statistic methods those chaotic, non-linear oscillation can not be analysed accurately enough in the dimension of time. "High-fidelity" procedures (wavelet-transformations, post-event-scans, recurrence plots) are required to demonstrate such a jump in which the temporality of these demonstrations are emphasized.
