Spätergebnisse nach offener Rhinoplastik und äußerer Nasenosteotomie unter besonderer Berücksichtigung von sogenannten Spaltnasendeformitäten

In the priciples of Facial Surgery, an Open Rhinoplasty is a well known procedure in todays society. Beauty Operations are now a part of todays life. For different reasons, people want to have their faces changed but in this case we will be concentrating on nose corrections. Considering methods of choice in correcting deformed noses due to Cleft and according to record, the rate of a Cleft Lip Deformations are 1:500. For the last hundred years, an Open Rhinoplasty have had influenced the future of Facial Surgery. Surgical correction of a Cleft Lip Nose Deformations is just a part of the entire concepts in treating Clefts. Today, an open Rhinoplasty and Nose Osteotomy are well documented and are the most common procedures used in nose corrections. A Open Rhinoplasty and Nose Osteotomy are still being debated in todays literatures. For those who are in favour of these procedures have underlined the facts that:1. the procedures are easy to learn2. the procedures are easy to accomplish3. these procedures provided a good post operative result.The critics are more concentrated to the disadvantages of these procedures. Using it disadvantages as issues of discussions. For example, Tissue Mobilisations and Traumatization. Their ideas on this topic are still based on the surgical procedures of the 19th century.The aim of this dissertation are to check empirically,1. If an Open Rhinoplasty and Nose Osteotomy are the procedures of choice in term of Cleft Nose Corrections.2. If these procedures are able to provide a satisfactory results.Between 1993 to 2003, thirty patients were operated and were re-exameinded. During re-examination, Questions were asked and were answered by these patients. Photos were also taken for visible results. These questionaires were analyzed and evaluated statistically and graphically using the computer SAS analyist system. The post-operstive results, the success rates, the visual improvements, the ailment and the functional improvements were also analyzed. The Conclusions were:1. An Open Rhinoplasty and an External Nose Osteotomy provides a good post operation results and the patients were satisfied. For these reasons, these surgical procedures are essential in Nose Corrections especially in dermations caused by Cleft. 2. These surgical interventions were not incriminatory to patients, proving its effectiveness and efficiency.3. According to record there were no disturbances in breathing through the Nose after the operation. Evaluation shows an improvement in breathing in some cases.An Open Rhinoplasty and External Nose Osteotomy shows good results not only in it visual aspect but in it functional aspect as well.
