Optical Processes in Xenon: Multiphoton Ionization and Ultraviolet Photodissociation of the Dimer Ion
… quickly forms from the atomic ion, and photodissociation on the 1( 1/2)(,u) (--->) 2( 1/2)(,g) band has been observed after sequential UV pumping. Finally, the role of Xe(,2)('+) in the formation of the excimers XeCl and Xe(,2)Cl has been examined.

Novel methods for manipulating ion types in the solution and gas phases for the structural analysis of biomolecules using Mass Spectrometry
… chromophores, which can be activated via ultraviolet photodissociation (UVPD) to generate radical peptide cations. Altering ion types in this way provides complementary sequence information upon collision induced dissociation (CID) when compared to CID of the even electron species. The …

Mass spectrometry of crosslinked peptides
… fragmentation behaviour of linear peptides using ultraviolet photodissociation (UVPD), fragmenting analytes using a 213 nm UV laser. We analysed a wide variety of peptides using a specifically designed acquisition workflow and could show that the fragmentation behaviour of most linear peptides is …
