  2. Photo-Nuclear Reactions in Silicon-28 by Monochromatic Photons of 17.1 Mev - 19.1 Mev

The photo-nuclear reaction cross-sections of Si28 were measured in the energy range from 17.1 to 19.1 MeV. The University of Illinois bremsstrahlung monochromator was used to define the incident gamma ray energy to about 300 keV. A 3 mm si detector was used as a target.

  3. Nuclear reaction analysis cross-sections measurements for Boron and Carbon.

The aim of the project was to measure nuclear reaction cross-sections for selected light elements such as Boron and Carbon for the database at Radiation Utilisation Group of Necsa. Deuteron-fnduced and "He-induced reactions were performed at the 4MV Van de Graaff accelerator at detection angles of …

  4. Photonuclear reactions near threshold

A number of photonuclear reactions have been studied using the University of Saskatchewan betatron as a source of high energy x-rays. The gamma neutron threholds and reaction cross sections have 100% abundance in one stable isotope. These reactions have been studied by observing the emitted …

  5. Theory of Alpha-Nucleus Collisions at High Energies

… data for angular distributions, and total and reaction cross sections is found. The inclusive momentum distribution for projectile fragmentation is developed in terms of Lorentz invariant three-particle phase space. The participant-spectator description of the fragmentation of alpha particles …

  6. The quark-hadron transition and hot hadronic matter in the early universe

… dynamical evolution equations to describe the reactions of interacting pions and photons. In order to model a more realistic hadron gas, we include kaons and finally nucleons and hyperons into the model universe. The results indicate that this type of model should be extended to include more …

  7. Neutron induced reactions on 26Al, 36Cl and 41Ca and their astrophysical implications

Neutron induced reactions on 26Al, 36Cl and 41Ca and their astrophysical implications In this work (n,p) and (n,alpha) reactions on 26Al, 36Cl and 41Ca are studied as a function of the neutron energy. The measurements were performed at the high resolution GELINA time-of-flight facility of the IRMM …

  8. On-the-fly nuclear data processing methods for Monte Carlo simulations of intermediate and fast spectrum systems

… unresolved resonance region (URR) cross sections directly from zero-temperature average resonance parameters is presented. The use of this capability in benchmarking both evaluated and processed URR data is demonstrated. Results of this benchmarking lead to a partial resolution of a …

  9. Growth of unsaturated, cyclic, and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons: Reactions under the conditions of the interstellar medium

… work, growth mechanisms based on ion-molecule reactions between cationic PAHs/hydrocarbons and methyne (CH) were investigated. The reaction type and the precursor were derived and selected from known chemical and physical properties of the ISM. These chemical reactions were characterised by …
