Strange quark suppression in 225 GEV/C pi-minus beryllium interactions
… of W (783) and rp (1020) mesons in 225 GeV/c pi--Be interactions via their decays into pi+pi- ratio, the strange quark suppression factor.A was determined to be 0.31 ± 0.05, in good agreement with a world average of about 0.29.

… PHOSPHATE SEEMS TO BE INDEPENDED OF PLASMA PI CHANGES. BECAUSE OF THAT AN INCREASE IN THE RED CELL PI TO PLASMA PI RATIO WAS OBSERVED SUGGESTING A MORE COMPLEX MECHANISM OF PI TRANSPORT ACROSS THE MEMBRANE THAN FACILITATED DIFFUSION. THE PHYSIOLOGICAL DECREASE IN RED CELL HAEMOGLOMBIN …

Polyurea aerogels: From nanoscopic to macroscopic properties
… texture; the former is quantified by porosity (Π), and the latter is related to the contact angle (θ) of water droplets resting on the material. Herewith, the θ/Π ratio is referred to as the K-index, and it was noticed that all polyurea aerogel samples could be put in eight …

Noninvasive Monitoring of CCl4 Induced Acute and Chronic Liver Damage in Rat by Single Quantum and Triple Quantum Filtered 23Na Magnetic Resonance Imaging
… to measure in vivo intracellular sodium concentration ([Na+i]), total tissue sodium concentration ([Na+t]) and relative extracellular space (rECS) of liver in the same model. In acute high dose CCl4 intoxication, 24 hours after single dose of CCl4 in 5ml per kg body weight of mixture of CCl4 and …

Contact Surface Curvature Length Specifies Graspability
… to perceive if objects are graspable. The ratio of object diameter and handspan was proposed as the invariant, however, the results showed that it did not map onto perception in a 1:1 fashion. We recomputed the ratio using surface curvature length of the object instead of the diameter as …
