  1. Finite blocklength analysis of the MISO Coherent Block Fading Channel

… a better dispersion than others. We show that orthogonal design input distributions achieve capacity in dimensions where they exist, and that they strictly outperform schemes that purely aim to maximize multiplexing gain from a finite blocklength perspective.

  2. Performance Analysis of Space-Time Coded Modulation Techniques using GBSB-MIMO Channel Models

… fading. Results indicate that schemes using orthogonal design space-time block codes are reasonably robust to spatial correlation while schemes like BLAST are very sensitive as they depend on array processing to separate signals from various transmit antennas.

  3. Performance Evaluation of an Enhanced Cyclic Solvent Process (ECSP) for Thin Heavy Oil Reservoirs

… parameters are optimized by using the orthogonal design method. There exists a good agreement between the experimental and numerical results for each individual ECSP test. As for the diffusion coefficient, a minor impact on the oil recovery is observed while the dispersion coefficient …

… high-rise BIPV systems, and develops a practical design tool for early-stage use. A mixed-method framework was adopted. A questionnaire survey and structural equation modelling (SEM) were first used to identify barriers to BIPV adoption in practice. A multiphysics model was then developed in …

  7. The Non-Market Value of Biodiversity Enhancement in New Zealand's Planted Forests

… is about the neutrality of major experimental design criteria used in CE. Specifically, we examine the impact of using different criteria on attribute non-attendance, choice variability, choice determinism and learning. To estimate the non-market value of biodiversity enhancement, a random …
