  1. Induction, Selection, and Characterization of Ethylene -Insensitive Mutants in Antirrhinum Majus (Snapdragon)

A tissue culture screen for ethylene tolerance utilizing ACC was optimized for a snapdragon inbred line, OAK564. Moreover, 40,000 EMS mutagenized snapdragon seeds were also screened for ethylene insensitivity. From this, a total of 231 putative ethylene mutants were recovered. Putative ethylene

  2. Understanding the classical maize floral development mutant, Polytypic ear1

… candidate gene analysis. Our top candidate gene, ethylene response sensor1 (ers1), encodes a putative ethylene receptor that shows allele-specific expression in Pt1. Ethylene receptors negatively regulate ethylene signaling, and in Arabidopsis, dominant mutations confer ethylene insensitivity. I …

  3. Exploring the role of the GR/RTE1 family in ethylene signaling

The gaseous plant hormone ethylene influences many aspects of plant development and mediates responses to biotic and abiotic stresses. A framework of the ethylene signaling pathway has been assembled using a combination of genetic and biochemical analysis in Arabidopsis (Arabidopsis thaliana) …
