Effect of Ph Manipulation During Aqueous Extraction of Peanut Proteins
In general, heating at 60(DEGREES)C for 30 minutes increases protein solubility. However, heating the pH 6 extract caused the pH to shift toward the isoelectric region, and lowered about 40% of its solubility as measured by absorbance at 280nm.

Sunflower Protein Concentrates and Isolates. The Removal of Polyphenols and Phytic Acid and a Study of the Binding of Chlorogenic Acid
… processing treatments such as dehulling, solvent extraction, aqueous extraction and centrifugation on sunflower proteins and to develop methods for the removal of polyphenols and phytic acid from the sunflower products. An attempt was also made to elucidate the nature and extent of interaction of …

Nanoparticle - Heavy Metal Associations in Riverbed Sediments
… half centuries of mining activities upstream. An aqueous extraction method was used to attempt to separate the nanoparticles from the bulk sediment. After analysis of initial results, it was found that low density clays were being selected for in this process and made up a major portion of the …

A new process for the separation and purification of egg yolk antibodies
… separated chicken egg yolk. This included aqueous extraction of the water soluble fraction (WSF) from the yolk by dilution with distilled water and pH adjustment, separation of IgY from the WSF using a cation exchange column in an automated chromatography system, and finally purification of …

Ionic liquids derived from nonafluorobutan-1-sulfonyl fluoride
… ionic byproducts (e.g., halogenide salts) by aqueous extraction followed by thorough drying in a high vacuum without loss of yield. Due to the above features, these new ionic fluids may be considered as promising recyclable media in repeated catalytic processes.

Some South African red seaweed polysaccharides
… Agar and carrageenin mucilages are obtained by aqueous extraction from certain red seaweeds of the class Florideae. Agar is extensively used in the meat canning and confectionery trades where it has to a very large extent replaced gelatin. Nearly all the South African production of agar is used …

Translating plant protein benefits to consumer products: physicochemical, technological and nutritional aspects of utilising plant protein ingredients for cereal food applications
… is applied. In a study comparing commonly used aqueous extraction methods for short-chain carbohydrates with alternative ethanolic extraction methods, ethanolic extraction was found to be superior. Due to high water absorption capacity and gelation, aqueous extraction is often not applicable to …

Virginia-grown Barley for Craft Brewing: Evaluation of Free Amino Nitrogen Content and Malt Sensory Characteristics
… and malt samples were subject to low temperature aqueous extraction, and wort was produced using an isothermal hot water extract technique. FAN and amino acid composition were determined for each line for raw barley, malt and wort extracts, prepared as described. Statistical analysis revealed that …

Composition of Four Selected Arkansas-Grown Non-GMO Soybean Cultivars and the Development of High Protein Beverage Using a Selected Soybean Protein Hydrolysate
… Soy protein isolate (SPI) was prepared using the aqueous extraction (pH = 9), and hydrolyzed at optimal condition of Alcalase concentration 1.0 AU (3.2 µL/g), 50 ºC, and 120 min incubation. The result was protein hydrolysate with low S0 value (35.4), low turbidity (0.9), high soluble protein …
