Study of transverse excitations in the giant resonance region of 236U using the (e,e'f) reaction.
We measured 236U(e,e'f) coincidence cross sections at six values of the momentum transfer (qeff ~ 0.50, 0.72, 0.84, 0.95, 0.97 and 1.16 fm-1 ) at both forward (Oe = 50°, 75° , 110°) and backward angles (Oe = 160°), over an excitation energy range from 2 to 18 MeV.
