분자생물학이 발전하면서 현재까지 3가지의 결장암의 발암 경로가 밝혀졌으며 이 중 MSI는 일반적으로 좋은 예후를 가지고 있는 것으로 보고되나 3기 대장암에서는 그 예후에 논란이 있다. 이는 보조화학요법 때문일 것이라는 견해가 있으며 이를 확인해보기 위하여 연구를 진행하였다. 2003년부터 2008년 까지 근치적 절제를 받은 172명의 결장암 환자를 대상으로 현미부수체 상태에 따른 결장암의 특성을 분석하였으며, 75명의 3기 결장암 환자를 대상으로 FOLFOX 또는 capecitabine을 투여한 결과를 후향적으로 분석하였다. …
