Diplodon (Diplodon) multistriatus (Lea, 1831) from the State of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, was investigated. The studies undertaken were related to aspects of the taxonomy, morphology of the shell, and structures of the soft parts when relevant. The study of the glochidia was added.
