A Restriction Analysis of Klebsiella Pneumoniae Phage SBS
… was found to be double stranded and linear. Its molecular weight was 41.66 + 0.72 kilobase pairs. The DNA was digested with a battery of endoncleases and partial restriction maps determined. The potential of the phage as a vector for Klebsiella is discussed in the text.

Molecular Studies of KpnAI and KpnBI R-M Systems : in KLEBSIELLA PNEUMONIAE M5a1 and GM236

Two possible type I restriction-modification (R-M) systems, KpnAI and KpnBl, were recognized in Klebsiella pneumoniae strains M5al and GM236, respectively. In this project, four hsdRKpnAI clones (pNLA1 to pNLA4) were obtained by using an …

The Function of Phosphatidylinositol 4-Kinase III-Beta in Trypanosoma Brucei
… protein migrated on SDS-PAGE near the predicted molecular weight of 66 kDa and phosphorylates phosphatidylinositol. Depletion of TbPI4KIII-ß in procyclic T. brucei by RNAi results in inhibition of cell growth and a distorted cellular morphology. Immunofluorescence studies revealed a distorted …

Molecular Cloning of the cDNA for Porcine Parotid Hormone

It has been found that parotid glands secrete a factor into blood that stimulates dentinal fluid movement, which in turn, prevents the development of dental caries. This factor, designated as parotid hormone, has been isolated from porcine parotid glands and its partial amino acid sequence has …

Cloning a Putative DNA-Binding Protein Controlling the 5'LTR of the Copia Element in Drosophila

Copia, a Drosophila retrotransposon, is constitutively expressed in all developmental stages, except the embryo in Drosophila melanogaster. The effect of random integration of the copia element results in phenotypic change in Drosophila. The regulatory sequences, controlling copia …
