… 5 provides insight into the synthesis of 1,2,4-Oxadiazoles which are privileged scaffolds in medicinal chemistry. The developed reaction occurs under metal-free conditions using sodium carbonate to couple N-hydroxylbenzenecarbonimodyl chlorides with nitriles.
