아동기는 성장과 발달에 있어 건강한 생활습관과 건강행동이 결정되는 중요한 시기이며, 저 출산시대의 현 상황에서 아동의 건강과 안전은 매우 중요한 문제이다. 우리나라에서는 인구 10만 명당 아동 손상사망자수는 점차 감소하는 추세이지만, 전체 아동 손상사망이 차지하는 비율은 감소하지 않고 오히려 증가 추세이다. 아동기에 발생한 손상은 비록 사소한 손상일지라도 그 후유증이 평생 지속될 수 있다는 점에서 그 예방이 매우 중요하며, 손상으로 인해 발생되는 직접적인 의료비용, 간병하는 사람들의 시간손실비용 등을 고려한다면 사회 경제적으로 …
