The role of trade unions in health care services in the KwaZulu-Natal province of South Africa
Abstract
dc:description.abstractThe research attempts to highlight the role of trade unions in health care services. Some nurse directors do not see unions as partners in bringing about disired human resource mangement policies; instead they are seen as opponents. Union members are confused, because they are perceived as rebellious and thus prefer to suffer in silence so as to prove their loyalty to the emploeyr. in the midst of this suffering the union is blamed for being ineffective.
