Abstract
dc:description.abstractHALLWAY is a 12-minute 360 video that is an investigation into the filmmakers anxiety through episodic depictions of childhood trauma. It draws upon semi-autobiographical elements surrounding childhood trauma and neglect, and the collateral anxieties manifested in adulthood. With the use of life-sized child mannequins, 12-inch action figures, and a computer-generated virtual background, this project explores early childhood experiences of proximate separation that occur when attuned contact between parent and child is lacking or interrupted.
