The principal purpose of the study was to determine if the programmed unit on the mathematics of interest, developed by Dr. Harry Huffman, Virginia Polytechnic Institute, could be adapted to the use of high school students at the junior and senior level. To accomplish this objective, extensive revision was necessary.
