Synthesis and characterization of novel molecular architectures: polyrotaxanes and catenanes

Abstract

dc:description.abstract

Polyrotaxanes are novel polymer architectures consisting of theo components. One component is the macrocycel consisting of 24-60 atoms; it is threaded by he second component, i.e., the linear backbone polymer.
