Mirtingumo sudijų projekto "Human Mortality Database" naudojamų metodų apžvalga /
Abstract
dc:descriptionDeath rates show many important aspects, such as remaining life expectancy, probability of death, etc. These indicators are needed for institutions whose activities are related to insurance, social security, old-age pensions and so on. The data provided on the official country statistics websites are often insufficient (only the number of deaths are provided), so mortality rates have to be assessed by ourselves. The main goal of this dissertation is to find out how death rates are measured according to The Human Mortality Database. This dissertation will describe the steps to estimate the various unknown parameters and define the formulas needed to calculate mortality rates. Based on the described steps, mortality tables will be compiled and the obtained indicators will be compared.
