Modern children are able to quickly memorize relevant information, but it is difficult to deal with emotions. Problematic questions of the research - what pedagogical conditions are necessary for developing children's emotional intelligence? How can family and educators work together to help a child develop emotional intelligence? The aim of the research is to find out how to work in a pre - school education institution in order to develop children 's emotional intelligence effectively and purposefully. The object of the research is the development of children's emotional intelligence in a pre-school education institution. The work analyzes how, based on the data of foreign and Lithuanian researchers, emotional intelligence is defined, what is its concept and structure. What are the necessary pedagogical conditions that help to develop children's emotional intelligence, what are the priorities of the pre-school education institution in the context of children's emotional intelligence development. Influence of family members in developing children's emotional intelligence. An empirical study revealed the attitude of a preschool educator to children 's emotional the need for education, the opinion of family members about the development of children's emotional intelligence, the priorities of the pre-school administration in the context of the development of children's emotional intelligence. Research methods. 1. Theoretical. An analysis of the scientific literature was used to describe the preconditions for the development of children's emotional intelligence. 2. Empirical. In order to find out the pedagogical conditions for the development of emotional intelligence in preschool children and to anticipate the possibilities of cooperation between the educational institution and the family, a written interview was selected. 3. Data analysis. The method of qualitative content analysis was applied to summarize the results of the empirical research. After analyzing the theoretical material, the concept of emotional intelligence is clarified, in which case it is used. It was discussed what features necessary for a teacher are identified by foreign and Lithuanian researchers, what tools, methods, methods and activities best develop children's emotional intelligence. The importance of the family in developing children’s emotional intelligence. Empirical research has revealed how educators help children develop emotional intelligence, the methods in which preschool educators interact and collaborate with parents. Administration priorities in the context of children's emotional intelligence development.
