Abstract
dc:descriptionSummary Having flexible and adaptive teaching and learning environments in educational institutions is very important not only in emergencies but also in normal situations. One such flexible environment is the hybrid way of teaching and learning. After analysing the scientific literature and conducting research, it was found that teachers are not inclined to often use the hybrid way of teaching and learning in natural science practical activities. This study aims to delve into the experiences of teachers, to identify the challenges that have arisen in the organization of activities. The final bachelor's thesis analyses the problem - what are the possibilities of applying natural science practical activities in hybrid learning to students in grades 9-10? The aim of the research is to explore the possibilities of applying natural science practical activities in grades 9-10 in hybrid learning. The object is the application of natural science practical activities in grades 9-10 in hybrid learning. The following objectives are set in the work: to conceptualize the theoretical foundations of the application of natural science practical activities in hybrid learning based on scientific literature sources. To describe the experiences of science education teachers in applying a hybrid way of teaching and learning in natural science practical activities. Identify the challenges faced by teachers in implementing natural science practical activities in hybrid learning. In the study, the following methods were applied: theoretical analysis of scientific sources on the chosen topic, semi-structured interview, and qualitative analysis of research data. The conclusions of the study were obtained: during natural science practical activities it is important to maintain physical contact with the objects of the study, but with the help of digital teaching and learning tools, this contact can be transferred to the virtual environment. Teachers of natural science education have experience in organizing natural science practical activities in a hybrid way, but the majority of teachers choose to use this way of teaching and learning less often in practical activities, due to difficulties in organizing. The results show that teachers distinguish the following challenges: partial involvement of the student, the teacher is unable to monitor the student, the transfer of responsibility to the student, the uneven distribution of attention, the requirement of the teacher's relevant competencies and the greater workload on the teacher. Keywords: natural science practical activities, science education, hybrid learning, experiential education, connectivism.
