The bachelor thesis analyzes the principles and standards of implementation of circular economy in preschool educational institutions: in the case of Mažeikiai district. The work consists of three main parts - theoretical, research methodology and empirical. In the theoretical part, conceptualizing the integration of the principles and standards of the circular economy in preschool educational institutions, the definition of the circular economy is revealed, the principles and their characteristics are identified, the process of the circular economy and the implementation of the standards are examined, and the barriers to the implementation of the principles of the circular economy are identified. To summarize the theoretical part, a theoretical model of the implementation of circular economy principles and standards in pre-school educational institutions has been compiled and presented. In the part of the research methodology, the strategy of empirical research on the implementation of circular economy and standards in pre-school educational institutions in Mažeikiai district is presented, the instruments of exploratory and qualitative research are presented, the structure, the stages of the research organization, the sample is characterized and the ethics of the research are described. The data of the research results were interpreted according to the theoretical model of the implementation of circular economy principles and standards in preschool educational institutions. In order to reveal how the implementation of the circular economy and standards in preschool education institutions of the Mažeikiai district proceed, the study was carried out in stages, based on the research process scheme. The exploratory research tool was applied to evaluate and check the quality of the planned qualitative research instrument (semi-structured interview question guide). The qualitative research method aimed to reveal the specialists' approach to the principles of the circular economy and the process of implementing standards in preschool education institutions. The study revealed that preschool educational institutions widely apply the practices of circular economy principles in their activities, develop skills of circular economy principles, seeking to maintain the value of things, try to reduce the amount of waste and use as few resources as possible, and after the product has expired, to keep resources in the economic cycle as long as possible. Taking into account the results of theoretical analysis and empirical research, conclusions are modeled and recommendations are presented.
