The main goal of this work is to determine the importance of risk management when companies are dependent on the functionality of global suppliers. This final bachelor’s thesis consists of three main parts: 1) analysis of scientific literature, 2) analysis and discussion of research methodology and research data, 3) conclusions and proposals. In the part of the scientific literature analysis were reviewed the risks faced by companies that are dependent on global suppliers, as well as the essence and concept of risk management, the problems, all the negative aspects and theoretical solution were reviewed for companies that depend on global suppliers. Immediately after the analysis of the scientific literature, the hypotheses were formulated, and the research was carried out. The research was aimed at disproving or confirming the hypotheses. The research aims to find out the benefits of investments and the consequences of not managing supply risks. After analyzing the research data, it was found that the companies of Vilnius invest in supply risk management, because it provides a better quality of supply of goods or services, also it gives a competitive advantage, and it helps to avoid higher costs. The research showed that without managing supply risks, companies usually faced supply delays, transportation problems and communication deficiencies.
