In the current era of globalization, foreign direct investment (FDI) is an important economic factor that has a significant impact on the economy. Positive effects include increasing competition, creating new jobs, transferring technology and stimulating economic growth. At the same time, FDI can also have negative effects, such as displacement of local producers from the market, social inequality. A favorable investment environment is essential for attracting FDI, which requires removing legal and regulatory barriers, reducing political risks and protecting investors. Emerging markets will continue to be attractive destinations for FDI due to higher growth rates. FDI patterns are expected to be influenced by global economic and political developments. Stable geopolitical conditions are decisive for FDI, while regions experiencing political turmoil may experience a decline in FDI. Due to the decline in foreign direct investment caused by the COVID-19 epidemic, countries need to increase their efforts to attract FDI in order to protect job creation and economic growth. Based on the research, it was found that foreign direct investments are negatively affected by the uncertainty caused by pandemics and epidemics. The Consumer Price Index and the World Pandemic Uncertainty Index affect foreign direct investment, there is an inverse relationship. The Consumer Price Index and the World Pandemic Uncertainty Index affect foreign direct investment, there is an inverse relationship. These results show that in order to attract FDI there should be no high uncertainty, inflation.
