dc:description

Assessment Of China's Export Potential Target of work: to analyse tendencies, structure and problems of China‘s export development, to present forecasts of China‘s export and assess China‘s export potential. Goals of work: • To analyse China’s export development history, changes that were made because of development and problems that China is facing while exporting goods • To analyse export tendencies in China, export development and export structure and its tendencies in 2000-2018 • To assess China’s export potential, compare China’s export scope with US and Japan Exploratory methodology: analysis of scientific theoretical literature and statistical data, comparative analysis, forecasting. When China joined the WTO, its export and export development became more open to the outside world – a lot of trade agreements were signed and BRI was started. On the other hand, when China became a WTO member, the country received a lot of restrictions that slow down its production of goods and export at the same time. In 2000-2018 China’s export grew in a stable pace. The main countries that were importers of goods from China in 2000-2018 are US, Hong Kong, Japan and South Korea and Germany. Manufactured goods, machinery and transport equipment, miscellaneous products and light textile industrial products were the main categories of exported goods. China’s export potential in 2020-2025 is high. According to forecasts, total export value as well as export value by the main importer countries and the main product sectors export value should grow rapidly In 2025, China’s total export value is forecasted to be USD 4225 billion. In comparence with US and Japan, China’s export potential seems to be higher. The export development of China looks promising and perspective because of BRI and “Made in China 2025”. On the other hand, the US and China trade-war is putting China’s export in danger.
