Socialinio pedagogo paslaugų poreikis Šiaulių ikimokyklinio ugdymo įstaigose /

In the Bachelor’s Thesis the need for the social pedagogues’ service in the pre-school educational institutions is analyzed. The theoretical and empirical research methods were employed and it was tried to reveal the peculiarities of the social pedagogues’ work in the pre-school educational institutions, the competencies and skills needed while working with the pre-school aged children, their parents and educators and the areas where the social pedagogues’ service could be applied. The theoretical analysis of the scientific literature and the results of the empirical research revealed that the social pedagogues’ job positions were needed in Šiauliai pre-school educational institutions. If the social pedagogues worked in the pre-school educational institutions maybe the educational and organizational work in the institutions would become systematical and children would receive the needed qualified social, psychological and pedagogical help, the children’s rights and safety would be ensured, the number of children belonging to the social risk group would decrease, the educational institution would become more open to the society and the local community. The pre-school education provided in the qualified way is an effective mean of the social adaptation, poverty and exclusion prevention. The main functions and realized roles of the social pedagogues embrace the individual and group work, cooperation with persons, families, pre-school educational pedagogues and other participants of the educational process, organization and coordination of the social and pedagogical help and the measures of prevention.
