Vaiko teisės į sveikatos ugdymą realizavimas bendrojo lavinimo mokyklose: mokinių ir mokytojų požiūris /

Abstract

dc:description

Relevance of the study: World Health Organization points out that the man himself affects his or her health the most, so it is appropriate to allow children to take care of their health from a very young age. Various documents on global and national level promote the importance and necessity of health education, but the data of health statistics show that health education has not yet produced the expected results. Educational institutions take care of a child's thorough development, so every child has rights for a qualitative health education, as well as any other school subject. R. M. Andriekienė (2005) argues that students have an inalienable right to information and services that enhance their health. Children care about their own and the community’s health when they gain knowledge about a healthy lifestyle and use local health care services and resources. For these reasons, it is important to view health educations through the perspective of children's rights.
