Integration processes in Europe stimulate to compare economical indicators of European Union countries (EU). Possibilities emerged for Lithuania to achieve the oldest EU countries living standards in 2004. Lithuania joined to EU at that point. Forecasts says for new EU members to achieve the oldest EU countries living standards can need not so little time. The analysis of living standards and its components is carried out in the theoretical part of master work. Economical inequality and poverty is analyzed widely here. Detailed comparable analysis of EU countries and estimation of expenditure differentiation of Lithuanian people is carried out in practical-analytical part of master work. Atkinson class, measurement index of discontinuity of class standard of total entropy and parameter Gini coefficients are used. Indicators who can define relations of living standards indicators are analyzed. Author’s formulated hypothesis of research is confirmed. Firstly, living standards of Lithuania have tendency to achieve average of living standards in the EU countries. Secondly, large differentiation of Lithuanian people social layers exists.
