The Web as Geographic Space: Expanding the Boundaries of University Campuses to Cyberspace
Abstract
dc:description.abstractThe purpose of this study is to investigate the role that college and university websites play, one, in providing complete and accurate institutional information to prospective and current students, and two, in facilitating opportunities for community engagement and the creation of social capital in order to recruit and retain the ideal student for that institution. This study will examine the extent to which colleges and universities provide visual and textual information about their campus, including social and academic communities and tools for engagement, on institutional websites.
