Abstract
dc:description.abstractCloser Than They Appear is a short story collection of approximately 23,500 words. The seven stories delve into themes of human connections and desire, set against the backdrops of uncertainty and the uncanny. Too, objects and material culture function across the collection as speculative lenses through which human and more-than-human entanglements are explored.
