Globalization and Domestication of International News: A Content Analysis of Five National Broadcasters' Television News Coverage of the 1991 Persian Gulf War
Abstract
dc:descriptionThe study found no evidence of the harmful effects of globalization. Instead, the study found that broadcasters' abilities to reinterpret global information and include unique domestic stories about the war allowed each news service to tell a uniquely national Gulf War story.
