Quality of Service Support for Heterogeneous Traffic Across Hybrid Wired and Wireless Networks
Abstract
dc:descriptionThis thesis presents a means of providing wireless QoS support to packetized data traffic with diverse requirements. A QoS-enabled one-hop wireless link allows users to enjoy seamless connectivity to wired services, while taking advantage of the mobile aspects of wireless service. A network using the proposed scheduling and call admission algorithms, within the context of the optimized QoS framework, is capable of providing seamless QoS support to wireless mobile devices.
