The Early History of the Aesthetic Education Program at Central Midwestern Regional Educational Laboratory
Abstract
dc:descriptionThe purpose of this research was to present the early history of the Aesthetic Education Program from 1967 to 1969. The areas of focus for the study were as follows: (1) an historical perspective of governmental influence on education; (2) an historical perspective of the government and the arts; (3) the sequence of events leading to the initiation of the Aesthetic Education Program; (4) the chronology of events from July 1967 to September 1969; (5) the relationship between the JDR III Fund and the Aesthetic Education Program.
