An experimental study of torsional response of reinforced concrete structures to earthquake excitation

Earthquake simulation tests of eight reinforced concrete two degree-of-freedom systems were made to study the combined torsional-translational response of reinforced concrete. A specially designed specimen was used in which the material interactions could be uncoupled. Test variables included: mass distribution, strength, and the presence of material interaction.
