Integrated Health Planning as Viewed by Comprehensive and Mental Health Planners.
Abstract
dc:description.abstractThe purpose of this study is to examine the different viewpoints of comprehensive and mental health planners toward the integration of health planning. With the adoption of the National Health Planning and Resources Development Act of 1974, P.L. 93-641, it was assumed that health providers and consumers would work together to fulfill the purposes of the Act by creating a comprehensive health care delivery system. This included the coordination of the planning and service delivery aspects of both physical and mental health care. The extent of such coordination has in reality been rather limited.
